Who are we?

IndiCS.InfO is a not-for-profit website created and maintained by a private person, with the mission of dispensing genuine and comprehensible information about India to an international audience. Commercial ads placed on the site will cover expenses and labour invested in the maintenance and improvement of the website.

Regular visitors to the site are not very numerous, but comprise people with a serious interest in Indian culture, art, cuisine and tourism. Casual visitors come in fairly large numbers, and all have at least a cursory interest in India. Advertisements specifically targeted at such an audience are most likely to be effective. Traffic statistics will be made available in a while, when the site has grown.

Overview of available advertisements and rates

Note that these rates comprise a time-limited offer, for advertisement slots reserved while the site is in its childhood.

Notes:

The above rates are gross prices in Euro (€, EUR).
Banners will be published in jpeg or gif (including animated) format. If you wish to place a Flash banner, please contact the administrator.
The rates are for banners created by you and emailed to the administrator. If you wish us to design a banner for you, we will add a small extra charge.

1. Exactly 468x60 pixels.
2. Exactly 234x60 pixels.
3. Up to 106x50 pixels.
4. Up to 40 characters formatted in harmony with the rest of the page.

6. Weblink in the Link Collection, explicitly marked as commercial, including banner and short description.
7. Image up to 468x60 pixels plus text up to 100 words, added to the end of any one article on the site, explicitly marked as commercial.
8. A single, specific word that will link to the advertisement anywhere it appears on the site. The word will produce a popup tooltip (like those in the above table, but marked as commercial), and hyperlink to a website of your choice.
9. Article integrated with other content on the website, of reasonable length, explicitly marked as commercial. The site administrator will reject any unacceptable content without stating reasons. Images may be added to the article for illustration, at an extra charge of HUF 1,000 per image (regardless of the term for which the article is published).
10. A brief, text-only advertisement that will be added to the next circular sent to registered site members. Newsletters containing advertisements only will not be sent to members.

Payments and invoicing

Unless otherwise agreed on with the administrator, payments shall be made by transfer to IBAN number HU19 1160 0006 0000 0000 26144 870 (account holder: Balogh Dániel; bank name: ERSTE Bank Hungary Nyrt. Népfürdő u. 24-26. 1138 Budapest, Hungary). Payment in currencies other than Euro is accepted, but at less favourable rates.

Fiscal invoices will be prepared and sent by email, or via fax or regular mail to any Hungarian address. Fax or hardcopy mail outside Hungary will entail an extra charge.

Technicalities

Ads will appear on the site within 1 week of the receipt of the charge, or on any later date agreed on. Ads will keep appearing for the pre-paid term (one calendar month or year). For practical reasons small variations in dates may occur, but the published time of an ad will never be shorter than the pre-paid period.

If you wish your ad to continue appearing on the site after the first term has expired, please make sure that payment for the next term reaches us before the present one is over.

Any future change in rates will not be applied to pre-paid terms.

We make all reasonable effort to ensure that the website - and the ads on it - are accessible without interruption, but we bear no responsibility for any breakdowns.

Link exchange and Link Collection

India-related websites will be added to the Link Collection free of charge, provided that they are non-profit and are concordant with the philosophy of this site. Links to any other site may be added to the Link Collection at the rates in the above table.

Supporter status

We are always happy to find donators who are ready to provide selfless support for the site, in money or in kind. Supporters will of course be granted ad space on the website.
